Hello world! I am Kardelen, a (former) translator and a data scientist. You can learn most basic things about me on the Meet the Founder page on this website, but who am I really, as a person? This blog post will try to explain that.

Above all else, I am a very shy person. I am not shy in terms of explaining the details of a project to a client etc but more personal things like explaining who I am is tough for me. But one thing starting a company has taught me is that getting out of your comfort zone is the key for a successful life. Thus, I will try to explain myself regardless.

I am a trans woman trying to make it in the tech world through a sole proprietorship. I recently came out as transgender and started my company. So, I am going through these two separate and remarkably difficult journeys at the same time. It is truly a stressful time for me and sometimes overwhelming but I think I am doing a good job at keeping calm and focusing on my tasks.

My journey as a trans woman is a very personal and private part of me and I want to keep it that way for now. Regardless, I had to mention it because some of you may have been confused about K***n disappearing and Kardelen appearing…

Additionally, I love all animals, mainly cats and dogs. My dog Lucy is one of the most precious things for me in the whole world, and I have many stray cats living in my garden that I take care of.

I play some video games but I wouldn’t consider myself a gamer, per se. My most played games are Terraria and Skyrim.

I like watching educational YouTube videos, and my TikTok algorithm is also full of educational stuff. I like learning about as many subjects as possible; from tech to literature, from history to space, from philosophy to biology etc.

I like music and play the guitar, piano and ukulele, though admittedly I’ve been lacking motivation and time to play any of them lately, which is something I want to change in the coming months.

Lately, I’ve been focusing on networking and trying to get my Upwork profile going. Also, I’ve been continuing learning as many things related to data analysis & science as possible. Right now, I am focused on learning Looker Studio, for example.
